Hi there,

You don't know me, and we may never meet. But you know my younger brother, Alex, right? You work out at the same gym, unless he made you up.

Truth be told, Alex is rather enamored of you. But he’s reluctant to express his interest. I think it's not so much that he's shy or anything, just that he respects the sanctity of working out without being hit on. He figures you get hit on a lot.

I want him to be a little braver, but I also trust his judgment. It takes a lot to put yourself out there, doesn't it? No one wants to look creepy, or to be rejected. How human to want some guarantee–or at least strong hint of success–before we risk saying, "I'm drawn to you."

Outside of a Hallmark movie, I don’t know that a random letter from an acquaintance’s brother would persuade a lovely woman to give said acquaintance a chance. But Alex is good for it. He's good for a couple of chances, actually.
